“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned, you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”

Many have wondered and asked, “What are the ‘things’ she is doing at the Heart to Hope Center? What exactly does she do, and how does she make a living?” Others have expressed concerns that the vision God has placed upon my heart for the Center is not sustainable. 

To those questions and concerns, I respond with kindness and humility: Does sharing acts of kindness require a business plan to justify its existence? Must every work inspired by God fit neatly within human expectations and measures of success? 

Jesus reminds us that the deeper things of God are not always revealed through human wisdom or worldly understanding, but often through childlike faith and trust in the Father’s will. As Scripture says: 

“No one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.”
— Matthew 11:27

Therefore, beloved, I say this: Place your concerns at the feet of Jesus and trust Him. Not everything that is seen is sustainable, and not everything that appears sustainable is of the Father. Yet every act of kindness that touches a life without expecting anything in return reflects the very heart of God. 

And if you find yourself questioning these things, believing your understanding to be of divine wisdom, then I humbly ask that you pray for me—that I, too, may continue to grow in spiritual maturity and understanding; that the Son may reveal the Father to me more fully; and that His will for the Heart to Hope Center may be made known in His perfect time. 

Until then, I will continue to walk by faith, serve with love, and trust the One who called

Caminando con fe, Sirviendo con amor,

Muchos se han preguntado: “¿Cuáles son las ‘cosas’ que ella está haciendo en el Centro Heart to Hope? ¿Qué es exactamente lo que hace y cómo se gana la vida?” Otros también han expresado que la visión que Dios ha puesto en mi corazón para el Centro no es sostenible. 

A esas preguntas y preocupaciones respondo con humildad y amor: ¿Acaso compartir actos de bondad requiere un plan de negocios para justificar su existencia? ¿Debe toda obra inspirada por Dios ajustarse a las expectativas humanas y a las medidas terrenales del éxito? 

Jesús nos recuerda que las cosas más profundas de Dios no siempre son reveladas mediante la sabiduría humana o el entendimiento del mundo, sino a través de una fe sencilla y de la confianza en la voluntad del Padre. Como dice la Escritura: 

«Nadie conoce al Padre sino el Hijo, y aquel a quien el Hijo se lo quiera revelar.»
— Mateo 11:27

Por lo tanto, amados, les digo: Pongan sus preocupaciones a los pies de Jesús y confíen en Él. No todo lo que se ve es sostenible, y no todo lo que parece sostenible proviene del Padre. Sin embargo, cada acto de bondad que impacta la vida de otra persona sin esperar nada a cambio refleja verdaderamente el corazón de Dios. 

Y si al observar estas cosas consideran que su entendimiento proviene de una sabiduría divina, entonces les pido humildemente que oren por mí: para que yo también continúe creciendo en madurez espiritual y comprensión; para que el Hijo me revele más plenamente al Padre; y para que Su voluntad para el Centro Heart to Hope se manifieste en Su tiempo perfecto. 

Hasta entonces, continuaré caminando por fe, sirviendo con amor y confiando en Aquel que me llamó.

Heart to Hope Center

Last night, I had the privilege of embracing a heart‑warming conversation with a dear friend from Corpus Christi. As we spoke, we found ourselves returning to the origins of Heart to Hope Center—remembering how the Lord moved mountains long before we ever knew what He was building. This ministry was born in a parking lot, through nothing more than consensus, obedience, and a shared desire to invite the presence of the Holy Spirit into our lives.
From the beginning, this ministry has never been about me. It has always been about what we are called to be—and what we are called to do—in the name of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit rejoices today because the seeds planted over a decade ago are finally bearing fruit. Through me, and through every woman who was touched, awakened, and commissioned, the harvest continues in His holy name.

Just as the Twelve were sent into the den of wolves to proclaim the coming of Jesus, we too are sent. Our call is the same: fidelity, courage, and justice. Every time we witness injustice and choose silence—every time we look away to avoid controversy—we step into the wolves’ den and become indistinguishable from the world. But when we refuse to accept injustice, when we advocate for the voiceless and stand firm in truth, we align ourselves with the very mission Jesus entrusted to the Twelve.

So, the question becomes simple, yet profoundly revealing:
Who are you?
Are you one who conforms to injustice, blending into the world’s comfort and compromise?
Or are you one who chooses to be “shrewd as a serpent and simple as a dove,” (Matthew 10:16-18) proclaiming justice for the oppressed and giving voice to those who have none?
This is the existential crossroads of discipleship. This is where calling becomes conviction.

A Ministry Rooted in the Spirit
Heart to Hope Center was never built on human ambition. It was built on surrender—on listening to the Holy Spirit, on trusting His timing, and on believing that the smallest seeds planted in faith can transform lives.
Today, as we continue to serve families, women, and communities across the Rio Grande Valley, we do so with the same spirit that ignited this ministry in a parking lot: a spirit of courage, fidelity, justice, and holy boldness.
May we never forget who sends us.
May we never forget who strengthens us.
May we never forget who we are called to be.

Authentic Discernment: The Courage to Be Real Before God
To “err on the side of authentic discernment” means choosing truth over appearance, substance over performance, and God’s desire over our own comfort. It is the opposite of spiritual theatrics. It is the quiet, steady willingness to let God shape us in ways that may feel small, hidden, or costly — but deeply real.
Today’s Gospel shows the Twelve being chosen and sent in a way that stripped them of self-protection. They were not sent with comfort, clarity, or control. They were sent with dependence.
Authentic discernment always leads us there.
It asks us to name what is false in us.
Not sinful — simply false. The masks, the habits of self-reliance, the subtle ways we cling to comfort or recognition.
It asks us to choose what is true, even when it is uncomfortable.
Truth often feels like poverty at first. But it becomes freedom.
It asks us to let God interrupt our preferences.
Discernment is not about choosing what feels spiritually impressive. It is about choosing what is spiritually honest.
What This Looks Like in Real Life
For me, for example, — I aspire to be a servant who serves, leads, builds, and carries others — and authentic discernment often means:
• Letting go of the pressure to be everything for everyone. Self-denial sometimes means stepping back, not stepping up.
• Choosing depth over activity. Minimizing comforts may mean minimizing noise, busyness, or the need to constantly produce.
• Allowing God to prune even good things. Authentic discernment is not about clinging to every ministry, every project, every role. It is about asking: Which of these is truly mine?
• Accepting the path that stretches you spiritually, not the one that flatters you. The Twelve grew because they were uncomfortable — not because they were celebrated.
A Gentle Invitation for Today
If you want to err on the side of authentic discernment, ask yourself:
What is God asking me to release so He can send me more freely?
Not in a dramatic way. Not in a self punishing way. But in a way that makes room for grace.
Authentic discernment is simply this:
choosing the path that makes you more available to God.
And that path is always marked by truth, humility, and quiet courage.

Each morning, we rise is a blessing, a new chance to praise God with intention. Today’s Gospel reminds us that when we truly love God, our choices, actions, and relationships must flow from that love. As parents, this message speaks directly to our hearts. Family is a gift, but it is also a calling that stretches us in unexpected ways.

Our unconditional love for God becomes the compass that guides how we raise our children. It teaches us to be gentle and compassionate, yet firm when needed—correcting not out of anger, but out of a desire to reflect the love of our Father. Intentional parenting means choosing God’s way even when it is difficult, trusting that His love shapes our home and strengthens our family.

May today’s Gospel inspire us to parent with clarity, courage, and hearts anchored in Christ.

Lord, guide our hearts as parents. Teach us to love with patience, correct with wisdom, and lead our children closer to You each day. May our homes reflect Your peace, and may our lives bear witness to Your faithful love. Amen.

 Cada amanecer es una bendición, una nueva oportunidad para alabar a Dios con intención. El Evangelio de hoy nos recuerda que cuando amamos verdaderamente a Dios, nuestras decisiones, acciones y relaciones deben nacer de ese amor. Como padres, este mensaje nos toca directamente en el corazón. La familia es un regalo, pero también una vocación que nos reta y nos forma de maneras profundas.

Nuestro amor incondicional por Dios se convierte en la brújula que guía la manera en que criamos a nuestros hijos. Nos enseña a ser tiernos y compasivos, pero también firmes cuando es necesario—corrigiendo no desde el enojo, sino desde el deseo de reflejar el amor de nuestro Padre. Ser padres con intención significa elegir el camino de Dios incluso cuando es difícil, confiando en que Su amor fortalece nuestro hogar y nuestra familia.
